Our specific design strategies are utilized in order to create very successful YMCA facilities. We believe that our designs help bring meaningful change to individuals and communities with a focus on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.

Our consistent process evaluates the adjacencies of the program spaces, the proper flow and circulation of the patrons, the appropriate finish materials, and the energy of the programs, the options available and the overall functionality of the facility.

Schaefer prides itself in producing long-lasting, sustainable, energy conscientious and easily maintained facilities that can be enjoyed by YMCA communities for many years.

“We have attracted new members, and have seen long team members become excited and reengaged. Since the opening of this building, our downtown participation has increased five-fold. Yes, a 500% increase, and is still growing!”
