Schaefer Architecture assembled an expert team, boasting significant local talent, and competed successfully in a competitive proposal and interview process, involving national designers. Throughout the design and construction process, Schaefer provided leadership and assured coordination of all elements of the project. In addition to sharing design expertise, Schaefer also served as museum curator meeting with representatives of the National Baseball Congress, private collectors, Wichita and Kansas baseball historians, and local archives. Story prioritization and narrative creation was led by Schaefer Architecture.

The Wichita Baseball Museum is a multipurpose space, located within Riverfront Stadium, whose mission is to showcase the rich history of professional baseball in Wichita, Kansas. The museum features extensive historical baseball artifacts displayed within an immersive environment.
