Pathway Church | Goddard Campus

Building on the success of its first campus in west Wichita, Pathway Church set out to open a second location in the growing community of Goddard, Kansas. With the help of Schaefer Architecture, they created a vibrant, energetic building to house their diverse and growing congregation.

Pathway Church wished to create a more industrial and simplified look that would facilitate their mission, with a special emphasis on drawing in young families with children. The plan includes a children’s wing named “The Neighborhood” that can be accessed from a secure, central corridor adorned with uniquely themed graphics designed by Schaefer. One of the classrooms, “The Ballpark,” is a reinforced tornado safe room. A separate youth space, designed with modern graphics and finishes, houses billiards, video games and a variety of lounge seating.

A black box worship space with state-of-the-art audio and video systems can open to the fellowship lobby via a garage door, giving the room great flexibility for ministries throughout the week.

Since opening in June 2015, the new campus has already become a huge success; they’ve seen a 40 percent increase in weekly attendance.

“As our partners, Schaefer understood that the building was meant to facilitate ministry, not just for those who are already here, but also for those who have yet to come.”
