Hutchinson Community College Smith Science Center

The Richard E. Smith Science Center is the home of the math and science programs for Hutchinson Community College. The 40,000 square foot building includes lecture rooms designed for a variety of learning configurations and state-of-the-art labs for biology, chemistry, microbiology, anatomy, organic chemistry and physical sciences. The chemistry labs contain multiple large and small ventilated hoods for group and individual instruction, with adjacent lecture areas.

Students learn in an environment that supports and encourages the use of technology. A large student commons, with great views of the campus, provides an area for students to congregate and study or receive tutoring. Other areas include chemical storage and prep areas with proper ventilation.
